State Parole Authority

Varying Parole Orders

Legislation allows the Authority to impose additional conditions and/or vary conditions on a parole order.

Variation of parole orders can occur before the release of an offender or during the parole supervision period, however, cannot be inconsistent with the Standard Conditions of parole.

In most cases, Community Corrections or the offender may request a variance in conditions.

Before approving any variation occurring, the Authority must consider the appropriateness for all parties in varying parole conditions and determine how it would better assist with the supervision process of parole.
