Parole Authority

Varying Parole Orders

Legislation allows the Parole Authority to impose additional conditions and/or vary conditions on a parole order.

Variation of parole orders can occur prior to the release of an offender or during the parole supervision period, however, cannot be inconsistent with the standard conditions of parole.

In most cases, Community Corrections or the offender may request that conditions be varied. Prior to any variation occurring, the Parole Authority must consider the appropriateness to all parties in varying parole conditions and determine how it would assist with the supervision process of parole.
