Parole Authority

Varying Parole Orders

Legislation allows the Parole Authority to either impose additional conditions or vary conditions on a parole order. This variation can occur prior to release or during the supervision period of parole, however, cannot be inconsistent with the standard conditions of parole.

In most cases, Community Corrections or the offender will request that conditions be varied. Prior to any variation occurring, the Parole Authority must consider the appropriateness to all parties in varying conditions and determine how it would assist with the supervision process
